10:00 AM E Magnetic Loop Antennas Tuning Methods – This forum discusses some techniques for tuning magnetic loop antennas for resonance and maximum performance at the operating frequency. The presentation will start with a review of loop antenna theory, VSWR considerations, and general loop parameters. Four techniques for loop tuning will be discussed: Local capacitor tuning, manual remote tuning, single speed automatic tuning and 2 speed adaptive search. Performance trade-offs, as well as advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed, and are presented in a power point format.
